Krishnan is one of Channel 4’s lead news anchors. He is the main presenter for the Channel 4 news, both at midday and 7 pm.
As a news-reader, he has covered some of the most gripping national and international headlines, including the Omagh bombing, 9/11 and the Mumbai attacks. He has also covered five General Elections. He also presented a weekly radio programme on LBC.
As a TV presenter, Krishnan Gury-Murthy is the host of Channel 4’s Unreported World, which has seen him journey to report on events from some of the worlds most remote locations. He was also a producer and reporter for Newsnight for three years, and was one of the launch presenters for BBC News 24.
He has hosted Channel 4’s coverage of the 2012 Paralympics and 2014 Winter Paralympics. He has also presented The Operation: Surgery Live, The TV Show, The Exorcism, The Autopsy, Number One, and Going Cold Turkey.
In 2023, Krishnan took part in the 21st series of BBC programme Strictly Come Dancing, where he was partnered with professional dancer Lauren Oakley, where they made it to the eighth week.
He has hosted programmes on LBC 97.3 radio, presented Hindu Lives for BBC Radio 4 in 2005, and has written columns for The Metro newspaper and Asian newspaper Eastern Eye.

Krishnan is a trustee of Duchenne UK, a charity fighting Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. In 2013, he founded the Duchenne Dash, a 24-hour cycle ride from London to Paris.
He was also appointed to the board of trustees of the Royal Botanic Gardens in Kew in 2018, a role which was reappointed in 2021.
He has chaired political debate shows, such as Ask the Chancellors (2010), the first debate between the Chancellor of the Exchequer and his counterparts,. He also hosted How to Save £100 Billion Live, the night before the new government’s emergency budget.
He has interviewed names such as former Labour MP Jim Devine, director Quentin Tarantino, comedian Richard Ayoade, and actor Robert Downey Jr.
