NICK HEWER IN BUSINESS
When Nick Hewer was aged 20, he joined a PR consultancy; within six years he had joined the board and eventually bought out the owner. In 1983, Lord Alan Sugar’s company Amstrad hired them to represent them. Nick spend over 20 years in the Amstrad management team before selling the agency in 1998.
He took early retirement and moved to France, but stayed in contact with Lord Sugar, who then convinced him to return to the UK for a new TV show…the little known The Apprentice (2005-2016).

NICK HEWER ON TV
This jump into television appearances made Nick a popular figure for the general public. He served as Lord Sugar’s right-hand man in the boardroom, and his calm demeaner was a natural foil to Alan’s combative style.
Talking to television like a duck to water, Nick has amassed a string of credits from Have I Got News For You (2011-2016), Would I Lie To You (2011), Pilgrimage (2022), The Great Celebrity Bake Off (2018), Who Do You Think You Are (2013), Room 101 (2012) and Question Time (2014-2017), as well as presenting documentaries and series such as The Town That Never Retired (2012), The Farm Fixer (2012-2013), We All Pay Your Benefits (2013) and Countdown to Freetown (2013).
