Penny Power OBE is a UK entrepreneur, international public speaker, author, and community builder.

In 1998, ahead of LinkedIn and Facebook, Penny Power and her husband created “Ecademy,” a platform which connected business people to one another with strong values around deep connections, honesty and the culture of “friendship first”. It grew to include 650,000 business members across 52 countries.

Approaching business in a highly personal way, she performed her first Public Speech in 2001 to BT, with the topic of Emotional Wealth and its impact on Financial Wealth.

Penny has always approached business in a highly personal way. Culminating in her authoring her book in 2019 Business is Personal which shares the importance of respecting that our personal life and attitudes impact our business life and visa versa.

In 2020, Penny Power and her husband Thomas launched BIP100 (Business Is Personal), an exclusive, intimate community of business experts that meet online, socially, as well as attending Masterminds and Business is Personal Dinners.

Penny identifies the advances in technology and the benefits these bring but also the negative impacts that can come with them, including stress, anxiety and general mental health challenges.

For years Penny was told that sensitivity in business was negative and that she had to be tougher. Over time, however, Penny grew to see her sensitivity as a strength and not something she wanted to change.

In 2018, Penny published her hit book Business Is Personal, which has helped thousands of business owners find success and happiness in their work. Her second book Success Secrets for Wellbeing was published in 2022. Community Mindset followed in 2023, which expands on her belief that implementing a community is a powerful asset for businesses and organisations, provided they understand the benefits of placing “citizens” at the centre of their strategy.
