More About

Rohit Bhargava | Background

Born in India, Rohit had visited more than 30 countries by the time he was 18; with a stopover in DC waiting tables, he moved to Australia in 1999 at the dawn of the dot.com boom start his career. He moved back to DC five years later to join the digital team at Ogilvy and started his blog the same year. His writing would feature in AdAge magazine and opened the door for his first book deal – which would go on to win him the Gold Atticus Award.

At Ogilvy, Rohit was a founding member of the pioneering Digital Influence group that was the first agency division to integrate behavioural economics insights into client work. He spent eight years as part of this team before acting on his entrepreneurial dreams. In 2014, he started his own publishing company called Ideapress Publishing where he released his breakout hit book Non-Obvious, which he updated and re-released every year up to 2020. This led him to become a full-time speaker and start the Non-Obvious Company.

The audience will leave with:

– Four actionable and immediately useable habits they can integrate into their daily lives to broaden their perspectives, be more creative, and see the world differently.

This keynote will reveal the five keys to earning attention in a world filled with distractions.

This keynote will help leaders and teams:

    Testimonials

If I had to describe this session to a friend or colleague, I’d say it’s a unique opportunity to hear from Rohit about how design, storytelling, and emerging technologies can come together to transform education. It’s not just a talk—it’s an inspiring and practical session that challenges the way we think about learning, innovation, and the future of work. You’ll leave with fresh insights and ideas you can apply right away, whether you’re an educator, designer, or leader in the education space.
    Hellen, Attendee

Everyone should catch it. It’s easily digestible for people who have never thought outside the box and visually engaging to boot. It leaves those who have the propensity to think differently wondering how and where can we meet more like minded people and put our brains together to create a difference.
    Attendee

How do you make a framework for thinking outside the box? It seems like an impossible task, but Rohit made a great framework to getting started. It will take your own unique creativity and ingenuity to make it work, but Rohit’s energy and enthusiasm can definitely help spark some of that inspiration.
    Becki, Attendee

I truly enjoyed Rohit’s keynote. The way they shared personal experiences while offering actionable takeaways made the session so relatable and inspiring. It was one of those talks that stays with you long after it ends — thank you for such an impactful presentation!
    Raven, Attendee

Rohit should think about marketing himself not just as a ‘speaker’ but as an ‘experience’, and a great one at that! He has amazing energy, a great sense of humour, and very relevant and interesting messages to share.
    Dawn Dovey, Sage Hospitality Group

Rohit Bhargava has a rare ability to make big ideas feel accessible and actionable. His insights on innovation, trust, and the future of business resonated deeply with our audience.
Buddy Rizer, Loudoun County Economic Development

Our community has been raving about Rohit and his message. While he hit relevant topics like AI and marketing, it was his humanity and ability to connect with people that won everyone over!
    Mitch Whitten, Visit Fort Worth

Rohit was terrific! 94% top two boxes which is phenomenal. And he was great to work with, which I so appreciate! We’re already talking about where we’ll use him next.
    Event Planner, Large Global Bank

I had the pleasure of working with Rohit Bhargava as a keynote speaker for a large international event at the MGM in Las Vegas. Rohit provided an exceptional experience from start to finish – customizing his approach, participating in brainstorming sessions, meeting audience members in advance for context on what would be meaningful to them, and ultimately tailoring his talk to be incredibly relevant to the audience. Rohit captivated the crowd on stage and he immersed himself off stage by attending the Expo, mingling with the crowd and signing books. No stone unturned, post event, Rohit launched customized landing pages with valuable business tools and a recording of his talk to help keep the momentum going. Overall it was a comprehensive, first-class experience and I hope to have the opportunity to work with Rohit again.
