Emily Carver is a broadcaster and commentator, best known for hosting Good Afternoon Britain on GB News, 12-3pm, Monday to Friday. She is loved for her smiley and approachable manner, even when tackling some of the most challenging and controversial topics of the day.
Before joining GB News, Emily worked as Head of Communications at the Institute of Economic Affairs, where she quickly made a name for herself in the media.
She has extensive experience appearing on big-name shows, including BBC Politics Live, BBC Question Time, The Jeremy Vine Show, and ITV’s Good Morning Britain, as well as hosting panels at high-profile events, including the Cambridge Union, the Spectator, Political Party Conferences, and the Battle of Ideas. She has also written for The Telegraph, The Independent, and Conservative Home.
Away from work, Emily is a new mother and is married to GB News host Patrick Christys. She has lived in Hong Kong, Germany, and France, and has competed across Europe as a downhill skier.
Emily is more than happy to speak on most subjects. Her main interests include politics and current affairs, economics, free speech and women in the media.
