Kim Murray brings a wealth of personal and professional experience into all that she does. Experiences including losing her father to suicide aged 7, and suffering burnout during her marketing career inspired her to retrain and launch Happy Heads, with the aim of sharing her wisdom and helping people nurture their mental health.
For over a decade, Kim Murray and Happy Heads have regularly been giving talks and running workshops for companies such as Facebook, Soho House, Stella McCartney, and Warner Music, and at live events, discussing a wide range of mental health and wellbeing topics.
She worked in marketing and events for over 11 years and was accustomed to a high-pressure job, but a hugely stressful work situation in 2016 left her suffering from anxiety and depression. Trying to get back on track, she began to meditate and took a life-changing course called the Hoffman Process, where she realised the true power of medication. This resulted in her losing her depression and anxiety, and gave her the chance to properly grieve for her father. And it was this realisation that led to her starting Happy Heads.
Kim’s life passion is talking about the human mind and what we can do to look after it, so if you’re looking to add a mental health speaker to your event, Happy Heads would make a great addition.
