TANYA GOODIN – SEO ENTREPRENEUR
She is a proficient entrepreneur, having founded Tamar, one of the UK’s first digital marketing agencies, in 1995, where she was CEO until 2017. Impressively, Tamar was founded three years before Google was, and was the first digital agency to win Agency of the Year by the Financial Services Authority, now known as the Financial Conduct Authority. Through this agency, Tanya worked with blue chip companies, including Tesco Bank, Compare the Market, Boohoo, Bravissimo, RBS, The Prince’s Trust, and TeamGB at the London 2012 Olympic Games. In 2013, she founded Time To Log Off, the UK’s first digital detox and wellbeing movement, where she helps individuals and companies to better their technology relationships. Then in 2017, Tanya co-founded the Digital Wellness Initiative, a global organisation that brings together experts and thought leaders to advocate for policy on the healthy use of technology. Tanya Goodin’s expertise has seen her presenting evidence to the UK House of Commons’ Science and Technology Committee, the All-Party Parliamentary Groups, and educational establishments on the impact social media, technology, and screens can have on young people’s mental health.

Tanya has published three successful books on humanity’s relationships with technology. The first, OFF: Your Digital Detox for a Better Life, came out in 2017 and provided advice for all ages on switching off and creating a better tech relationship; this was followed up in 2018 with Stop Staring at Screens, a handbook on living happily with screens at home; and then My Brain Has Too Many Tabs Open in 2021, looking at realistic ways to alleviate the negative impacts tech can have on us.
