Tim Willcox started in newspaper journalism, working for the Mirror Group, before joining ITN as a presenter and arts and media correspondent. He also presented the ITN Morning News, becoming the first ITN journalist to break the news of Diana, Princess of Wales’ death.
He has since presented in the studio and on location for BBC 1, BBC World, BBC 4, BBC World Newes, and the BBC News Channel. He has presented regular programmes for the BBC, including the nightly paper review, the overnight slot, and weekend afternoons.
In his career, Tim has reported on breaking stories such as the 9/11 terrorist attacks, Chile Mining Accident in 2011, the Japanese earthquake and tsunami in 2011, the 2011 Egyptian Revolution, the 2011 Libyan civil war, the bailout in Athens, the Alps plane crash, the Charlie Hebdo shootings, mass rallies in Paris, the crisis in Ukraine, Iraq, and the Euro crisis.
Tim has interviewed current and former Prime Ministers and Presidents, leading international politicians, and opinion formers.

He has also written, produced, and presented a number of documentaries for Channels 4 and 5, including Paul Burrell: The Butler’s Story, Di’s Guys, The Spencers, After Diana: Remaking the Royals, and Diana: Her Life. He has also starred in TV shows and films such as State of Play, Jonathan Creek, Clueless, 102 Dalmatians, and How to Start a Revolution.
Tim frequently chairs, moderators, and is a keynote speaker at major corporate conferences and festivals around the globe. He is adept at handling key interviews and panel discussions, and brings organisational skill, fluency, energy, and personality to his role.
Tim also provides bespoke training to CEOs and senior management teams, helping them to optimise media interaction. He helps them clarify and sharpen corporate messages in an often hostile environment, regardless of industry.
